Repeat Prescriptions

Repeat prescription can be requested in three ways. You may bring a ticked request slip and post it in the box outside the surgery. You can email making sure you include your name and date of birth on the request. However, we would like to encourage all our patients to use our online service for requesting repeat prescriptions. To access this service, please contact reception.

One month of medication is usually prescribed at a time, but if your conditions are stable, the GP may prescribe three months.

Requests for prescriptions are not taken over the telephone other than in very exceptional circumstances for patients with specific needs.

Please Note: 2 full working days are required to process a prescription request - please do remember to take bank holidays into account.

Medication Reviews

Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor, nurse practitioner, clinical pharmacist or practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications and notification should appear on your repeat slip. Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.
